Communication between teachers and parents
The teachers of Belgrave South Primary welcome meeting parents as we seek to develop the partnership between home and school.
During the year we will meet informally to get to know one another and more formally, through Parent/Teacher Interviews and written reports will be provided twice a year.
Parents are welcome to make contact with the classroom teacher through the school office.
The School Council is an important group of parents and teachers who are responsible for monitoring many aspects of your school operations.
Council consists of a group of elected parents and representatives of the teaching staff. The Principal is an ex-officio member of Council. There may be a number of co-opted members of Council from time to time, specifically to address particular needs.
During monthly meetings, Council receives reports from the Principal, and the Finance, Education (Edcom), Facilities, Fundraising, Marketing, Pre-school and Stadium sub-committees.
All parents are invited to attend the meetings of Council and to be actively involved in one or more of the sub committees.
